I Developed This Calculus Course Because I Know What Your Student Will Struggle With

Since I founded Study Buddy Tutoring in 2020, my focus has been committed to offering a tailored approach to meet the unique needs of each student I work with. I have used my years of experience privately tutoring and my degree of B.S. in Physics to develop a strategy that identifies a student's needs promptly, builds confidence with core concepts, and refines a process for success in problem-solving. My 5+ years of focus on the needs of each individual student have provided me with a unique perspective to identify a major flaw in, specifically, the first calculus course all high school students take.

The first course in calculus introduces students to a critical advancement on the concept of rate-of-change and techniques for how to employ this concept in useful ways. Time and time again, every calculus student I work with does not receive a clear explanation of how this new concept actually comes about and, thereon, struggles to employ calculus techniques with confidence or any strong logic-backing. I have curated my Introduction to Calculus to remedy this exact problem. My sessions have illuminated many lightbulbs in the minds of my students and allowed them to proceed with confidence in the course. I am excited to be able to offer this hand-crafted course to support all students as they embark on their first calculus course.
